4 hot dog buns

4 beef or turkey hot dogs

1 cup chili (homemade or canned)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced red onion

1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (pickled or fresh, according to preference)

1 tablespoon mustard (yellow or spicy)

1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional for creaminess)

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat.

    While the grill heats up, prepare the chili topping. If using canned chili, warm it up in a small saucepan over medium heat. If making homemade chili, ensure it's cooked and seasoned to your liking.
