Balsamic Fig Jam Grilled Cheese

4 slices of sourdough bread

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup balsamic fig jam

1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese

Fresh arugula for garnish (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Anleitungen
 

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

    Take two slices of sourdough bread and spread a layer of softened butter on one side of each slice.

      On the unbuttered side of each slice, spread 2 tablespoons of balsamic fig jam evenly.

        Sprinkle 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the jam on each slice.

          Add the crumbled goat cheese equally on top of the cheddar.

            Place the second slice of sourdough on each stack, with the buttered side facing outward.

              Carefully place the sandwiches in the heated skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.

                Gently flip the sandwiches over and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, ensuring the cheese melts completely.

                  Once finished, remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before slicing diagonally.

                    If desired, garnish with fresh arugula for a peppery touch and add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
